If your business does not take off and you end up not making any money at all, it is OK because you did not need to spend any money on it. Those platforms are also an excellent choice if you want to start a blog for fun, although I have seen many businesses who decide to choose them as well. It is definitely up to you to choose something that will work for you.
Now when it comes to blogging, it is definitely a good idea to stick to it and never give up unless you really have a reason to let go. Building a readership definitely takes time, so before you decide to abandon your blog make sure that you give it a sufficient amount of time to grow.
